People often hear Christians say God is marvelous, or they marvel at God’s amazing acts. But do we know that Jesus also marvels at people in the Biblical accounts?
Take a look at this story: “Jesus Marvelled”© in What is faith? part 3. Wk. 7, Taking Root sermon series. Key Scripture: Matt. 8:5-10.

GIVING Gifts of Hope

Heads up for all FSBC congregations, whether you are connected with us In-person, In-community, or Online!

Why are we doing it?

  • We have enjoyed and treasured your participation in our gatherings and ministries. Also, your regular financial input and giving of your time and talents to the various ministries of Fundy Seaside have been very much appreciated, as they are essential for edifying, equipping and encouraging God’s people of every age, as well as the growth of the Lord’s Kingdom of God here on earth.
  • This Advent and Christmas season, we are privileged to have some additional opportunities to do good to people near and far. Let us continue to meet & worship, and prayerfully consider giving to one or more of these following causes.
  • Do not feel obligated to participate in all of these. Do as we are able to, as God leads us.

Who, What, & Where are we giving to?

  • Breakfast Program for Fundy Shores School
  • Canadian Baptist Ministries’ (CBM’s) Hopeful Gifts Program: Our focused region to give to this Christmas will be Lebanon.

On Sunday, Dec. 4th, Fundy Seaside will be collecting the following donations:

  1. Food Supplies Drive for our local school: Fundy Shores Elementary.
    • Drop off AT OUR CHURCH on Sun. Dec. 4th any of the Top 4 most needed items for the School’s Breakfast Program this season. All in all, around half of the school’s children benefit from this program regularly. They are in the following order:
      • Cereal: These varieties ONLY – Rice Krispies, Regular Cheerios, Regular Corn Flakes – any name or generic brand)
      • Apple Sauce & Fruit Cups: any fruit variety – any name or brand, in juice or syrup.
      • Nut-free Cereal Bars
      • Gift cards (No Frills or Walmart)
  2. Donations for CBM’s Ministries in Lebanon
    • In the past year, our church’s Prayer Group has been praying for CBM’s Partners in Mission around the world. One of them is Joe Bridi and his team, doing ministry in Lebanon. The needs are wide-spread, but we can help.
      • For example, With $50, we can give the gift of going to summer camp for refugee children and youth who are terrorized by war and violence and displacement; with $500, we can give scholarships to enable pastors/evangelists/skilled Christian lay leaders receive needed training at the Arab Baptist Theological Seminary located in Lebanon.
      • We are collecting donations as a church this Christmas and will send what we have collected through CBM’s Hopeful Gifts: “Where Most Needed” program this Christmas. CBM will then match our gift, dollar for dollar.
    • The last day to send in this donation is Dec. 4th (2nd Sunday of Advent).
      • NOTE: Use a regular church offering envelope. (mark in the “Other” field”: CBM Hopeful Gifts WMN)

These could be fun! Engage the people you know. Offer to buy and/or bring donations/food items/gift cards to the church for seniors/elderly members and neighbours.
