The Good Way Journey

On this coming Thurs. June 1st, the Good Way Journey will be holding an info and conversation session at 7:00 PM at the church (downstairs). The Good Way Journey is a new process developed in partnership with Canadian Baptist Mission and the affiliated Red Clover. The journey is intended to help Christians stay committed to walking in a good way. I quote from the CBM/CBAC communication: “It is an opportunity to work towards justice and healing with the indigenous peoples and communities around us.” There are a few from this congregation who are curious about the Good Way Journey initiative. The church’s point person and group facilitator is Gail Anthony McGrath. Please contact Gail if you are interested in coming to this meeting. There is no other obligation except your time and your curiosity on June 1st at 7:00 PM.

Active in Mission

This July, Active in Mission will be happening again across the Canadian Baptist family. This project will support efforts to and help feed hungry people – both locally, in Canada and abroad. Together, the entire Canadian Baptist family has set a goal of $100,000 to help ensure people have access to food in 13 different countries, including right here at home. Our support will feed people in Thailand, India, the Philippines, DR Congo, South Sudan, Togo, El Salvador, Rwanda, Kenya, Lebanon, Pakistan, Ukraine, and Canada. So consider participating in this effort. Check this out: https://www.activeinmission.ca/

Grief Following Trauma: A Critical Incident Stress Management Course

“Grief Following Trauma” at Crandall University on June 9 and 10, 2023.
This is a faith-based course that is open to anyone looking to learn more about helping those who have experienced traumatic death and loss. Friends in our Saint John-Kings Association of CBAC have asked local churches to spread the word. This course is a valuable asset, not only for the church, but also for the wider community that the church serves. If you are interested, please speak to Pastor Rachel. There is also someone from the Fundy Seaside congregation attending.
