Let’s Continue to Pray

Join with us in praying for those impacted by the fires across Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Many have been forced to leave their homes with little notice while some have lost their homes and belongings. We have churches within the CBAC family in the evacuated zones at risk from the fire. Praise God that no lives have been lost.

  • We pray for safety and protection for those diligently fighting the fires and risking their lives to protect us, our homes, businesses, community centres, and churches.
  • We pray for containment of the fire that they would not grow.
  • We pray for provision where there is loss of homes and belongings, and that communities and neighbourhoods would come together and support each other.
  • We pray for peace in the midst of anxiety and fear.
  • We pray for rain here in Atlantic Canada and in other areas across Canada that have been battling fires and drought. Our land is dry. Lord, hear our prayer.
  • We pray that God’s love would shine through His people in Atlantic Canada as they minister to those impacted. Amen

This Weekend:

“Grief Following Trauma” 14-hour Seminar, held at Crandall University, June 9 and 10, 2023.
Please pray for Gail Anthony and all who will be traveling to attend or teach this faith-based seminar. This is open to anyone looking to learn more about helping those who have experienced traumatic death and loss. It will be a valuable asset, not only for the church, but also for the wider community that the church serves.

Active in Mission

This July, Active in Mission will be happening again across the Canadian Baptist family. This project will support efforts to and help feed hungry people – both locally, in Canada and abroad. Together, the entire Canadian Baptist family has set a goal of $100,000 to help ensure people have access to food in 13 different countries, including right here at home. Our support will feed people in Thailand, India, the Philippines, DR Congo, South Sudan, Togo, El Salvador, Rwanda, Kenya, Lebanon, Pakistan, Ukraine, and Canada. So consider participating in this effort. Check this out: https://www.activeinmission.ca/

Council of Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada (CBAC) Recommendation for Executive Minister

The Council of Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada (CBAC) is very pleased to present Rev. Renée MacVicar as our recommendation for the next fulltime Executive Minister of CBAC. Following a thorough, prayerful, and we believe Spirit-led process, Renée received the unanimous support of the Search Committee and was subsequently overwhelmingly affirmed by the CBAC Council for ratification by the Assembly in August, 2023.
