Smoke Gets in My Eyes: No, I am not crying.
Rom. 12:15; Mt 18:20; 2 Ki. 2:3-4; Lk. 6:21b.

“… a Chinese proverb: A man may shed his blood but should not shed his tears…I also wonder if we Christians, men and women, girls and boys might also face this unspoken challenge or requirement? …let’s look at the word crying/WEEPING in the New Testament today, and see if we can glean something from it.”

“We each are just a vessel, but when we go to a meeting as believers we become a channel, a setting in which Jesus will show up in the MIDST of us…He will minister to us and the people there. Just know that when we go, it is because we know that it is one more opportunity, one more setting for Jesus to show up, for us to be blessed, and to receive His ministry, …”

“…in every place and at every time when two or three are gathered in Jesus Name, Jesus’ presence is in the midst of them, and He will minister to them, and they will have another chance to move from the Jericho of the 10 to the Jericho of the 2… That is all because of Jesus, and He is here in the midst of us, and He can minister to us individually while we gather collectively…”

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – Saturday, September 30th

We encourage you to take time this weekend to honor this day for our country, and for us as individuals. We serve a God who initiates reconciliation with us through Jesus Christ, and we encourage you to pray and reflect with Him on what this means for each of us. The staff at Canadian Baptist Ministries have provided valuable resources to help us learn, reflect, and pray.
