Thoughts to Follow

Therefore, let’s hope in Him and have faith in Him. It is true that to many, death means the end, and death dashes all hope. However, for others, death is and can be the beginning of hope. The whole of our faith and spirituality is hinged on this surely. Because of it, let’s walk, but let’s not walk away from the centre of our faith. Instead, with faith as the substance of our hope, we can continue to walk …with the shoes of the good news actualizing in our every breath, in our daily battles against hopelessness and disappointments.

Moreover, because of our faith that sustains hope, we can continue to be good neighbours to those who need faith to generate hope; and we can comfort those who are sad, and walk alongside them, just as Jesus was walking alongside the two very sad followers, who have had their hopes dashed but not enough faith to back up their hopes to carry on – yet. We believe that first foremost, that God is here, He is in control. He is God and His plan will take us through. So look up, lift up our heads and our eyes to see who Jesus is, and to believe all that He has said to us.

Lastly for today, I want to say this: Some of us may think that it is no longer possible to believe in Jesus. But I’ll tell you the truth: As Jesus was only asking His two followers to trace back, to think back, and to talk about what had happened just a few days prior, we can also recall, recollect, and remember how God has helped us, rescued us, delivered us, provided for us and our loved ones, and blessed us not too long ago…You may only have to backtrack not too far in the past to find your way, and to find your faith again, to find your way again.
